Innovation Systems Leadership Programme in South Africa |

The first module of the ”The Innovation Systems Leadership Programme” was arranged in Pretoria, South Africa 10-12 November, 2008. The programme which makes up of three modules, is organized as part of The Cooperation Framework on Innovation Systems between Finland and South Africa (COFISA) financed by Finnish and South African governments. The main purpose of the programme is to create capacity in the South African National System of Innovation. Alltogether 20 participants have been selected for the programme. Advansis has been involved in planning the programme, and was in charge of the first course which focused on basics of innovation systems and innovation policies. The lecturers of the first course were professor Dave Kaplan, University of Cape Town, Dr. Mika Kautonen, University of Tampere, and Tarmo Lemola and Anne-Mari Järvelin from Advansis.
