SAFIPA - Information Society Programme in South Africa
Advansis provides techncial assistance services to the South Africa – Finland Knowledge Partnership on ICT Programme (SAFIPA). The programme lasts for three years, starting from July 2008. SAFIPA programme is jointly funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland and the Department of Science and Technology in South Africa.
The SAFIPA programme supports innovation and knowledge generation in information society technologies in South Africa. The purpose is to narrow the digital divide by introducing interventions that help South Africa to become an inclusive and internationally competitive knowledge society.
Chief Technical Adviser of SAFIPA, MRS Kristiina Lähde is currently permanently based in Pretoria, South Africa.
