In the globalised world, innovation policy planning is increasingly based on international comparisons, strategic benchmarking and collaboration. Having access to a broad coverage of data and information on policy trends and latest developments is a prerequisite for high quality work. Equally important is identify right benchmarks and to be able mobilise the leading experts for each assignment. This is particularly the advantage of Advansis and its extensive networking. GREENOVATE! Europe is a European Economic Interest Group – a new form of company that operates throughout Europe, to which Advansis is one of the founding members. Greenovate combines top-level expertise in eco-innovation and provides services for related programme management and policy design.

ERAWATCH is a joint effort of European Commission DG Research, Joint Research Center and Institute for Prospective Technological Studies to support policy making in the field of research. It collects data on national and regional research profiles, organisations, programmes and documents, and on the basis of this, provides information and analyses on national and regional research systems, activities on policies, trends and the factors influencing them within its Intelligence service. ERAWATCH currently covers 37 countries. Advansis operates as an expert and country correspondent of Finland in ERAWATCH.

Europe INNOVA is the key European collaboration platform in the field of innovation, having nearly 400 innovation experts and organisations as its members. It is funded and managed by the EU DG Enterprise and Industry, including European projects in areas of: sectoral innovation watch, innovation panels, cluster mapping, cluster networks, financing networks, standards networks, innovation management and services innovation. Advansis is a service provider for Europe INNOVA and responsible for the coordination of 11 European Cluster Networks.

PRO INNO Europe is European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry’s new initiative for European innovation policy stakeholders. As part of this PRO INNO framework and expert network, Advansis is co-managing INNO-Views policy workshops with German consultancy i.con innovation GmbH. INNO-Views is a follow-up of EU TrendChart on Innovation, organising four workshops per year to explore new and emerging innovation themes. It will form the bridge between innovation policy analysis, policy learning and dissemination and transfer of good practices in innovation policy in PRO INNO.

IMP3rove is a European Commission funded platform for systematic management of innovation in SMEs. It provides an integrated approach and tools for analysis, benchmarking, development, training and consulting of SMEs in their innovation management techniques. There are already around 2000 companies in Europe that have successfully used the innovation management tools. The project and network is lead by international consultancy A.T. Kearney, having ten other partners as country coordinators. Advansis is coordinating the IMP3rove actions in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania together with national innovation agencies and consultancies.

VISION ERA-NET is a collaborative network of ministries and national innovation agencies financed by the European Commission. Its objective is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of innovation policy planning at partner organisations through collaboration and joint actions. The network covers Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Flanders (B), Ireland, Latvia, The Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. Advansis participates in the network as an external expert in the initiation and evaluation phases.

IRE - Innovative Regions in Europe is the largest collaboration network among European regions in the field of innovation. The network organised and funded by the European Commission and has nearly 240 regions as its members. Much of the activity is focused on the implementation, analysis and follow-up of regional innovation strategies. Advansis is providing IRE regions in the new member states expert analyses and assistance in regional innovation strategies through the IMIS project.

T.I.I. – Technology, Information, Innovation is a network of innovation actors and consultancies with over 300 members internationally. As a member of T.I.I., Advansis has a fast source of information on new developments and a broad range of professional contacts.

Shanghai Technology Transfer and Exchange (STTE) is one of the largest technology transfer and commercialisation organisations in China, having representation in 400 cities in China and abroad. STTE has over 10 000 technology transfer offers and requests open in Shanghai, where the annual value of technology transfer exceeds 6 billion euros. Advansis has established a collaboration partnership with STTE in December 2006 to bring in innovation policy expertise from Finland and Europe, and in return, to gain access to STTEs expertise and networks in China.
